Episode Preview: Fear The Walking Dead “So Close Yet So Far”
Where we left off: When the pilot of Fear The Walking Dead ended, we were left with Nick, Travis and Madison having just witnessed their first full reanimation of Nick’s secret drug dealer friend, Calvin. Alisha is still waiting to hear from her boyfriend that stood her up in Venice; and, by the way, can we all agree that he’s totally undead somewhere?
What can we expect? Well, with the schools being closed early, and the video going viral of the man at the scene of the accident, mass panic is going to start to take over. It is pretty clear from the promo that people are going to start to panic, and even looks like the public may get a first hand view of people coming back to life.
Episode 1.02 – So Close, Yet So Far
Madison tries to keep Nick from withdrawal; Travis sets out to locate his son before Los Angeles falls.
FTWD 1×02 “So Close, Yet So Far”
There is going to be a very large amount of crap that this family is going to have to go through in the next few days. Knowing what we know about this world, its going to suck and people are going to die. The Walking Dead is not exactly known for showing mercy to their familiar faces, so what are the chances that Nick makes it through the withdrawal and the end of civilization?
Then there is Travis’ ex-wife and son, who he sets out to find before the city gets overrun. The title of the episode kind of plays to the idea of they will get close to something but not quite where they wanted to be. A new family will enter the picture who helps them find refuge as LA breaks down around them. Maybe one of these new family members will be the first to fall prey to the undead.
Episode 1×02 Sneak Peek & Pictures
Glad to see Tobias is still around, I think that Madison will quickly realize he’s pretty smart about what’s going on and whatever they are up to in the sneak peek above will be his idea. After seeing the two videos, it also seems clear that the Principal is not going to make it.
Fear The Walking Dead shattered records with its premiere Sunday night, and despite early reports of it being as slow as the walkers themselves, I think it will continue to hold viewers and becoming just as endearing to fans as its predecessor.
