Episode Preview: The Walking Dead 7×12 “Say Yes”

On this week’s episode of The Walking Dead, Rick and Michonne are out on the hunt for weapons to aid in their fight against Negan. Remember, Jadis wants lots of guns in order for them to join the fight. Unless Tara decides to give up the Oceanside community and their significant cache of weapons, it looks like Rick and Michonne have to go out farther than before to find what they need.

The promo below also gives a look at the other story featured on Sunday’s episode, “Say Yes”. Rosita isn’t going to sit around and wait any longer and it seems like she might be going out on her own in order to locate some weapons. Apparently, she hasn’t learned anything yet after going rogue last year with Daryl and getting abducted. Let’s not forget it was her homemade bullet and bad timing that ultimately got Olivia killed and Eugene taken away. Maybe third time’s a charm and she’ll stumble upon the treasure at the end of the rainbow. Or, she’ll end up walker food.

Sneak Peek #1 – On the Hunt for Guns

Sneak Peek #2 – Richonne is On Point

Long before Rick and Michonne were ‘umping buglies’ as Abraham called it, they were still a bad ass duo that worked together like a well-oiled machine. I really love that in the next episode, we will get back to that with these two characters. After spending more than a few episodes with Rick as Negan’s new favorite chew toy, it’s good to see the leader of our pack back doing what he does best.

I have all the faith in the world that Rick and Michonne will stumble across something worthwhile, but I don’t know about Rosita. She’s angry right now, and we all know how well things go when one of these character’s acts on their emotional impulse without thinking it through.

Will Tara Have to Give Up Oceanside to Help Win the War?

It’s becoming more and more clear that Tara is going to have to make a choice, and soon. That episode, “Swear” early on in season 7 was placed there for a reason. That reason was to show us where there was a butt-load of guns. Tara makes a solemn vow to Cindy that she will keep Oceanside’s identity secret. But, if it comes to the safety of her own people, and helps tips the scales in their favor, is she obligated to break her promise?

It is sort of a double-edged sword for Tara. On one hand, she would be helping Alexandria secure the weapons needed for the deal with the Scavengers. However, by keeping her promise and steering them way from Oceanside, she’s keeping her integrity. Tara is doing something that helps to keep a part of herself intact and not end up mentally and emotionally down a rabbit hole like where Carol was when she left.

What are you hoping to see happen in the next episode? The Walking Dead 7×12 “Say Yes” airs on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 9/8C on AMC.
